This quote here is what has concerned me from the beginning:
"Applebaum's plan to outright cancel all student loan debt does not have a realistic chance of becoming law, experts said. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Education had not heard of the idea and said the department has "bigger fish to fry.""

I also notice how all the article's are stating to "cancel" student loan debt which to me; and most people who have not read the proposal, may think the proposal is asking for the debt books to be wiped clean and not paying the banks in full from another source. That would make a huge difference to me if I was to vote on the issue.
