That is a no brainer question. My loans have been jacked by the sharks to $1.75 million. You tell me how a 64 year old, forbidden to work in my profession because of student loan debt, could even pay the interest? It is insane!
I answered yes. I know way too many people who are struggling already and the student loan debt pushes us over the edge of being able to make it financially and take care of our families. Many of us are older and are already looking at a lack of retirement plans. Being forced to pay student loan debt that has risen to amounts we'll never pay off in our lifetime due to interest rates, will lead to dependence on other social service agencies to survive. Most of us dreamed of getting an education and then getting a job that made enough income to pay our debts. We did not intend for our debts to be so overwhelming and our pay so low that it would be impossible. I'd like to see a letter sent to Obama from everyone who is a member of this site, sent on a particular day. I believe this is in the plan?
