It seems that corporation can go through bankruptcy and leave investors with nothing. Some of the companies corporation receive federal dollars which simply lost like any investors money. Wealthy people seem to go through bankruptcy and remain wealthy. How is that allowed when the common man is stuck with student loans forever. I did not finish my masters degree program and now the credits I had earned are worthless, nonexistent, like I was never there. So why does the school get to keep ALL the money and the government makes me pay back every cent.
If you have acquired student loans in the last 5 or ten years, then I think it's you cross to bare until such time as you encounter financial hardship through little or no fault of your own or have to file bankruptcy for reason outside of you student loan debt.
Getting representative and politicians to take up the cause seem like a long and potentially fruitless endeavor. Forgive Student Loan Debt needs to hire an attorney to file a class action suit on behalf of those in my situation and other hardship cases. I file banckrupcy in 2003 but yet I still have the burden of student loans from 20 years ago.
