Wonkette: America's Poor Beg Congress: Please Forgive Our Debts, Sir!

Ok, so it's a little snarky, but read through to the end to get their point. . .and mine.  When did Americans become so hotile towards their fellow man?  Especially towards their fellow Americans who are struggling just to put food on the table in the wake of the near-destruction of our economy?  The "whats-in-it-for-me?" mentality, just like the "let 'em die!" mentality, is what got us into this mess in the first place!
