Seeking Potential Interview Subjects for Two Different Projects

Dear Friends and Supporters:

I've been asked to help find potential interview subjects for two different projects.  If you meet either of the criteria below, please click on the appropriate link and send me a brief synopsis of your information, which I'll then forward accordingly.  Please note, once I forward your information, it's out of my hands - I do not make the final decision as to whether or not to contact you.  The two projects are as follows:

Seeking Potential Interview Subjects in the NY/NJ/CT Tri-State Area

A national news organization is looking to interview a recent graduate (last 2-3 years, give or take?) who can't get a job and, as a result, is now having problems with their federal loans.  If a parent is involved as a cosigner or as an unwitting landlord to their college-educated child, all the better!  Only those in the NY/NJ/CT area should respond as the film crew needs to be able to get to you.  If you're interested in sharing your story, please email me at applebaum@forgivestudentloandebt.com and I'll forward your information accordingly.

Hansen Clarke Explains The Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012

Congressman Hansen Clarke says student loan debt is crushing the economy as well those who still owe thousands of dollars on those loans. The freshman Democrat from Detroit has written a bill that would give those Americans a way out debt by letting them pay 10 percent of their discretionary income for 10 years. WDET's Pat Batcheller asked the Congressman to explain how it would work.

U.S. News & World Report: Learn What the Student Loan Forgiveness Act Could Mean for You

Many thanks to the Student Loan Ranger for giving this bill the attention it deserves!  From the article:

"The act would create a new 10/10 Loan Repayment Plan (with new forgiveness provisions), cap interest rates for all federal loans, greatly improve Public Service Loan Forgiveness, and convert some borrowers' private loans to federal loans. That's a lot!"
